The printer is no longer around but I still have the fiery rip. When the fiery powers up it always asks to "Check power and cable connection 50C-K". I have setup the printer I want the fiery to function with via parallel and set the options correctly within the fiery and the printer but the fiery just asks for the 50C-K.

I can print over the network to other printers although it obviously comes out like garbage since it's lacking drivers. The real question is, is there generic fiery software I can intall that will allow ME to specify which printer I want to use or is this box basically a worthless piece of machinery now? Thanks guys. If you think of anything else, please let me know. If I come up with a solution, of course, I will post it! I just had another look at your picture that you posted. Try unticking the 'Update when driver opened' or the 'Two-way communication' and see if that enables you to manually add options.
